1. When Clifford was a puppy, he was very small. I had to be careful when I played with him.
Clifford小時候個子非常小。所以我和他玩的時候得非常小心呢。
2. Clifford liked to play ball, but he was too small to catch it.
Clifford喜歡玩球，但是因為他那時太小了，連球都抓不住。
3. Clifford also liked to sleep in my hat on cold winter days.
冬天的時候，Clifford還喜歡睡在我的帽子里呢。
4. One day, my aunt came to visit. When she left, we looked all over for our small red puppy.
一天，我阿姨來拜訪我們。她走的時候，我們到處找Clifford這家伙。
5. My aunt found him in a cake shop. Clifford was scared. He ran about on the cakes.
后來阿姨在蛋糕店找到了他。Clifford很害怕。居然在蛋糕上跑來跑去。
6. What a mess! My aunt didn't know what to do. She didn't want to bring Clifford home like that.
